June 6th

Let us not forget the sacrifices of "America's greatest generation". God bless them all.

General Dwight D. Esienhower - Allied Forces Supreme Commander

Franklin Delano Roosevelt - President of the United States

  1. Classic speech for a classic battle that cost so many boys their lives...selflessly given for us. I am fortunate to have attained a copy of the CBS's first 24 hours of radio broadcast on D-Day...amazing! Funny how the president doesn't talk about "constant prayer" anymore. Sad. I still wish I was alive in that era...the values of this country haven't been the same since :(

  2. True, over the years, the leadership of this country has stepped away from its core values. However, I believe in people. People with good in their heart will always prevail

  3. I hope you are right. I hope there is enough of those people left.

  4. Hats off to all those brave soldiers who helped to shape the world and succeeded in stopping the tide of world domination by some of histories greatest tyrants.
